Our Music Director, Diane Lines
Sound Eclectic is thrilled to announce Diane Lines as its new musical director, starting in the fall of 2018.
Diane Lines is a well-known and seasoned veteran of the Vancouver music community. As a pianist, vocalist, arranger, composer and musical director, she has performed with a variety of artists including Juno Award winners Bria Skonberg, Shari Ulrich, Gary Fjellgaard, Gabriel Mark Hasselbach, and Kenny Wayne. Diane was the accompanist for Michael Bublé until 2003.
Diane has toured North America with her own signature show, Diane Lines’ JUMP! Other artists Diane has performed with include Beverley Elliott, Marcus Mosely, Dee Daniels, Denis Simpson, Kenny Hess, Jennifer Hodge, Tom Pickett, Jim Byrnes, Jane Mortifee, John Boutte, Alfie Zappacosta, Candus Churchill, Linda Tillery, Amanda Wood, Kim Kuzma and Michael Kaeshammer.
Diane became the principal pianist and vocalist with The Dal Richards Orchestra in 2003. Since Dal’s passing in 2016, she now co-directs the jazz orchestra. From 2000 to 2016 Diane was the accompanist for the Universal Gospel Choir and in her later years, she was the choir’s assistant director and principal arranger. As well as directing Sound Eclectic, Diane is currently the musical director and arranger for PALS Chorus, a 55-plus choir at the Performing Arts Lodge in Vancouver.
In 2017, Diane was inducted into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame and she also received an Ovation Award nomination as Musical Director of the Year.
